About the Project & Client

Jumblebie is a well-established leader in the villa booking industry in Lonavala, with a strong network of villa owners offering a range of accommodations from 3 BHK (6 people) to 6 BHK (12 people). Despite their success, the client faced a significant challenge: the manual process of creating and sharing villa details via PDFs for each inquiry. This process was time-consuming and hindered their ability to scale their business.

The client needed an efficient, scalable solution to share villa details quickly, expand their reach through social media, and allow customers to book villas effortlessly.

Understanding the Challenge

The challenge was clear: create a cost-effective solution from scratch that could integrate seamlessly with the client's goals. The client wanted a shareable platform that was easy to use and accessible, with a focus on SEO to increase online visibility. Additionally, they needed WhatsApp integration for booking, allowing customers to directly inquire and book villas via the messaging app.

The biggest hurdles included:

• Rapid design execution and working with WhatsApp APIs.
• The need to ship the project within 4 weeks.

How We Contributed

To meet the client’s needs, we used a combination of cutting-edge technologies:

• Frontend: React, Next.js for server-side rendering (SEO-friendly).
• Backend: Node.js.
• Database: MongoDB (free tier).
• Image Storage: Cloudinary (free tier, for images and dynamic conversion).
• Hosting & Deployment: Vercel.
• Design: Mobile-first approach.

Our team integrated WhatsApp APIs to enable:

• Sharing a villa page with a custom message.
• Allowing customers to make bookings directly via WhatsApp, including villa details, date, time, and number of people.

We adopted the Scrum methodology with 1-week sprints, delivering key milestones such as:

• SEO-optimized home page.
• Search page integrated with MongoDB and Cloudinary.
• Villa page using Markdown content to prevent XSS attacks.
• Seamless WhatsApp API integration.

Initially, we tested Google APIs for images, but shifted to Cloudinary for its better features, including on-demand webp conversion, compression, and CDN.
